Thomas, a Swiss policeman adrift , lives within the Aboriginal community in Northern Canada. When a child from the reserve is hit by a reckless driver, he promises to find the drunk driver and make him apologize to the mother. This quest will bring back the darkest memories of his own past.
Thomas, un Européen venu pêcher en solitaire au Québec, s’engage sur les routes du nord canadien à la poursuite d’un camion noir qui a tué le fls d’une jeune Amérindienne. Ce fic suisse en exil veut que justice soit faite. Il a toutefois d’autres raisons de vouloir faire le bien.
Synopsis
Thomas (Jonathan Zaccaï), a reserved man, has spent a few months in Quebec. Mary Ann (Evelyne Brochu) is a mother stuck in the monotony of her life after being abandoned by her husband following a series of violent domestic disputes. As Thomas embarks on his journey to the north of Canada, their lives become intertwined following the hit and run of a local Amerindian teenage boy. He then delays his return to Switzerland to seek justice. Their search will force each other to confront their own painful memories and ultimately seek forgiveness.
Thomas (Jonathan Zaccaï), un homme réservé, est sur le chemin du retour après un séjour de trois mois au Québec. Mary Ann (Evelyne Brochu) se sent prise dans la monotonie de sa vie. Elle a deux enfants et un mari absent (après des flambées de violences domestiques). Sur la route, à proximité d’une communauté autochtone, Thomas découvre le corps d’un Amérindien de 13 ans, renversé par un chauffard qui a pris la fuite. Thomas s’engage à retrouver le coupable. Mais l’enquête qu’il mène éveillera plusieurs soupçons et emmènera Thomas et Mary Ann à confronter leurs propres passés douloureux.
