After seven years in prison, Mario Diccara is free. After having not completely settled his prior affairs with the community, he asked the only trusted person he knew, his brother Patrick, to find him a hideout to go into hiding for a while.
Patrick, a parish priest, suggested that he join Father Etienne in his small village, located in Ardèche. Mario therefore puts on religious garb to make the trip. But upon arrival, the troubles began: Father Etienne died and the villagers mistook Mario for the new parish priest...
