We travel from rural Nova Scotia to the streets of Guatemala, where Alexander Chisholm Guibault's story began as a young boy named Jesus who was born into poverty and sold by his birth parents to organ traffickers. Today, he lives to tell the tale and is now a Canadian adoptee. “It’s a story of hope. It’s a story of survival,” says producer Donna Leon. “It’s a story of a young man who shouldn’t be here by all accounts. He was destined to die and he survived all of that and he found a family, so it’s a story of love and it’s a story of belonging.”
